A team member, Phuoc Thanh Ho, was honored to attend the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting (AGU 2025) in New Orleans, USA, representing the research group.

During the conference, Phuoc Thanh Ho had the opportunity to deliver an oral presentation in the session NH34A: Fostering Resilience in Communities with Geohazards, where the team’s agent-based modeling (ABM) research framework was presented. The session provided an excellent platform to share the group’s ongoing research on community resilience to geohazards and to discuss how agent-based modeling approaches can contribute to risk assessment and resilience-building strategies. The oral presentation attracted interest from an international audience and generated valuable discussions, feedback, and insights that will help further develop the research.

In addition to the presentation, AGU 2025 offered a rich academic environment for networking and knowledge exchange. Phuoc Thanh Ho had the opportunity to meet, connect, and engage in discussions with researchers and scholars from around the world, across diverse fields related to geohazards, sustainability, and community resilience. These exchanges helped broaden research perspectives and opened up possibilities for future interdisciplinary and international collaborations.

Overall, participation in AGU 2025 was a meaningful and productive experience for the research team, strengthening its international presence and contributing to ongoing efforts to address complex geohazard challenges through collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
